While Black Friday is being printed, hardback and paperback, writing continues. Books will be in hand by mid-June and available for purchase shortly after, but another story has been brooding in my strange head.
The as yet untitled book has been written in Maine, North and South Carolina and now in California. Last night, it was Santa Cruz and tonight is San Jose, working toward Sacramento. Then comes Napa and back to San Francisco. Each has its own charm and provides the peace and solace to write, when it can be found.
A day-job keeps me busy and on the road from coast to coast. It provides beautiful places to write, from Baker Beach in San Francisco to the coast line of Maine and the shores of Florida. Writing hardly feels like a job. Instead, it’s a release of energy which gains momentum and becomes more than just ideas bouncing around my head.
Tonight, it’s the Wyndham Garden hotel in San Jose and the beautiful hot tub and pool area, Relaxing, quiet, and cool, the area provided a great place to site and enjoy my own thoughts. It gives me a chance to flesh out more characters in my next novel.
Stay tuned for more updates and some upcoming excerpts from the book. Follow close and you can live the story as it’s written, and have a few sneak peaks at the book, even before the editor. Who knows, you may discover a few places you’d enjoy visiting.
Back in North Carolina soon and then off to Alaska aboard a Royal Caribbean ship, lots of time to write and lots of photos to enjoy. Several friends have requested more photos of the places I visit. I will try and upload a few.
Thank you, reader. Thank you for being a part of the journey I so enjoy. Thank you for being a part of the story, without you, there would be no reason to write.
