Greg J. Gardner was born in Baltimore MD and currently lives Gastonia, NC with Doge, his Belgian Malinois, two horses Traxxas and Dorothy, and Tuesday, a fifteen‑year‑old greenwing Macaw. On weekends, he can often be found running a live‑steam locomotive on the track in his yard or paragliding in the mountains.

“I enjoy planes, trains, and automobiles, but not necessarily in that order. My true loves are my family and my girlfriend, Christine Monte. My passions include hiking, skiing, paragliding—which I am still learning—driving my Joker car, and generally anjoying life.”

Greg operates a successful sign business with his ex‑wife, working from Washington DC to Savannah, GA. He designed the custom Joker-themed graphics for his car, which include the brightest colors one can imagine.

The writer spends a great deal of time with his grandson and fellow train enthusiast, Zeb, who lives in Newland, NC.

When asked about writing, he says, “Everyone has at least one book in them and they only need a way to release it. I commit to writing at least one hour per day.”

Greg J. Gardner is currently working on his second novel (working title: Golgotha – Curse of the crucifixion), the story of Pilatus Augustus Palermo, a loving husband, father, and one of the Roman soldiers ordered to crucify Jesus. Cursed to live forever, the story follows Palermo through the loss of his wife, children, and grandchildren, as he weaves a tale through histories we are all familiar with, from ancient Rome to modern day New York. It’s a thrilling tale of devolution, redemption, love and evil, expected to be released sometime in 2027.

Greg claims to write from the heart and edit out of necessity. “Sometimes it feels like freeform writing where my brain simply manifests on the pages, which can be a scary thing, sometims. But I always do by best writing while traveling.”

Whether spending a few nights on a train from New Orleans to New York, or cruising from Seattle to Tokyo, Greg is always at his keyboard, whether working on a book, cruising Facebook or posting TikTok videos with his grandson. “I’m certainly no influencer but enjoy posting videos to my TikTok page.” The videos include everytihng from serious posts about writing to light-hearted rants about various topics.
